Iran’s 1-0 victory over the UAE

In their eighth match in Group A, the national football team of Iran played against the UAE national team in the final qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar in Asia from 18:00 today (Tuesday) at Azadi Stadium, with Mehdi Taremi scoring the only goal in the 44th minute.  

 * Saeed Ezatollahi and Sadegh Moharremi received two yellow cards and missed Iran’s next match against South Korea.  In the 49th minute of the Iran-UAE match, a confidant received a second yellow card and was sent off for a foul on an opposing player.

 * Alireza Jahanbakhsh received a yellow card from the referee.

 * In this match, Minister of Sports and Youth Hamid Sajjadi was present at Azadi Stadium to watch the match of our national team closely, but he left Azadi Stadium immediately after the match.

 * Hassan Kamranifar, Secretary General of the Football Federation, along with Bahram Rezaian, a member of the Board of Directors of the Football Federation, Alireza Emamifar, President of the National Football Center, and Rahman Rezaei watched the match closely at Azadi Stadium.

 * Iran is in its group table with 22 points.

 * At the end of this game, Mehdi Taremi was selected and introduced as the best player on the field.

 * The next match of the Iranian national football team against South Korea will be held on April 25, 1401.
